Launched last November 2016, the Cardinal Coffea is now making noise in the food industry here in Metro Cebu. They serve variety of pastries and desserts as well as satisfying beverages only found at Cardinal Coffea.
Cardinal Coffea’s history was definitely an inspiration. They originated from a bakeshop located at Taboan, Cebu. If you are familiar with Cardinal Bakeshop, than that’s it! That’s where they came from. One of the café’s specialty are their locally and freshly baked pastries that doesn’t last long because it’s always sold out. The best-sellers of the café in terms of pastries are the Chicken Pandesal (which turned out to be my favorite), Yema Bun (which tastes really good and awesome!) and the Cheese Roll (which tastes so superb and so soft to chew).
For the desserts and beverages, they also have variety of options to choose from. Either you are a coffee person or not, their beverages will definitely suit your mouth’s preference.
See images below for some of the foods and beverages they offer and be mesmerized:
Take note, if I were to suggest, you guys better visit the café every morning because they have their own brewery and every morning, the shop smells so heavenly amazing. The aroma of the coffee beans will also be the aroma of the entire place. And it feels so relaxing. Perfect way to start your day right and rejuvenate first before going to work or school.
Of course, I will not miss to mention how amazing the interiors of the café are. From its pale gray color matched with light brown wooden details, everything just seems to be chilling. Not so dark, not so light. The lightings are also good especially every afternoon since the natural light from the sun comes so perfectly inside because of the glass windows.
Just a quick trivia: Did you know that the café took almost 3 years before it was internalized? Yes, 3 years of planning most especially the interiors of the shop. Because the owners doesn’t want it to have a coffee shop feel but a place to chill and relax.
Over-all, I rate the place 4.7/5.
For more information, you may visit them at Cor. Don Jose Avila St., and Don Gil Garcia St. every Monday-Thursday from 7:00am-11:00pm and Friday-Saturday from 7:00am-12am. You may also visit their facebook page.
